Deep Hawaii Art Gallery was created out of genuine love for Lana'i, the ocean, and the stories that live within the land and sea. The gallery showcases gyotaku (traditional Japanese fish printing) alongside thoughtfully selected works and represents 20+ artists. From snorkel gear, sun shirts, metal prints, oil paintings, jewelry options, tea towels, and so much more! Come on by to experience the heart of Lana'i. chosen for their authenticity, craftsmanship, and connection to place. Every artwork is meant to be more than something beautiful on the wall—it’s a reflection of respect for nature, culture, and the creative process.

The art gallery of fish printing, Gyotaku was traditionally done by fishermen in Japan to show examples of extraordinary fish they had caught. I am a Freediver and spear fisherman living here on Maui , Hawaii. I print fish I have caught using acrylic and oil pastels. I sell orients and original artwork. I am always diving, and always printing my favorite catches here at my studio.

Kona Village Artis is an artist's cooperative of member artists and guest artists. Founded 38 years ago in 1987, we are the longest running artist's cooperative in the state of Hawaii. Each member artist is a full time resident in the Kona District on the Big Island of Hawaii. Each member is also a working artist with his or her own business license. The cooperative allows us to network and to share our collective works of art in our Gallery which is located in the Kona Marketplace on Ali'i Drive in downtown Kailua Kona. Member artists share staffing hours and other duties needed to run the Gallery.

This is a beautiful pottery studio offering classes for up to 6 people (12 years old and up.) Come learn how to make a mug or bowl on the potter’s wheel. It’s lots of fun...a great way to spend quality time with friends and family or develop your throwing skills. First time throwing classes are between 2-2.5 hours and cost $165 with special discounts for long time residents. Fees for firing are assessed by quantity and volume of the pieces ranging between $5-12 per item made. We also can ship your work using flat rate boxes from USPS ($32 avg) Students wanting to learn more can join one of the ongoing 6 wk classes.
