Welcome to Troy Carney Art Gallery in the Old Historic Town of Hanapepe on Kauai. Troy Carney integrates all of his experience into a unique process that he has developed since 2004. Using Japanese knives Troy developed a technique involving the cutting of thick cotton paper and laminating this in layers to wood, resulting in a bas-relief that is gilded with 12k-24k Genuine Gold and finished with traditional oils and rich glazes. Since 2016 his work has evolved yet again with the use of different materials that is cut with laser and Japenese knives. These materials are incased deep in multi layers of resin. This technique gives Troy's originals more dimension with depth, drop shadows and reflective gold and pearl edges.

Our Story Over seventeen years ago, Angela and her husband Kim bought and restored a 1920’s laundry and transformed it into a fine art gallery to showcase Angela’s original oil paintings. Midnight Bear Breads is an artisan bakery located on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii. Ursa Swift and Evan McAfee have owned and operated the bakery since 2012 in Hanapepe. We started off selling our artisan breads at farmers markets and retail stores around the island. Opening a retail bakery in 2015 has expanded into selling our artisan breads, croissants, sandwiches, panini’s, pizza, and coffee all fresh at our bakery location in historic Hanapepe town.
