Hawaii Island Humane Society's Animal Community Center in Kona opened to the public in August of 2021. Our Animal Community Center (ACC) is ideally situated in Holualoa, with 12 expansive, well-kept acres. The ACC features 3 Dog Dorms with adoptable dogs and puppies, a Cat Barn with adoptable cats, kittens, and small mammals, 2 dog parks that are open to the public, a retail shop where you can shop for your best friend (100% of the profits go to support the shelter animals of Hawaii Island Humane Society), and more. Come visit our animals, learn about our programs, and get involved by adopting, fostering, volunteering, and donating.

We feature Exquisite Artwork, live glassblowing and Glassblowing Lessons where you can make your own beautiful piece of glass art! We first opened our doors in late December of 2017. Although Staub has blown glass professionally for nearly 30 years and operated his own glassblowing studio in Seattle for 8 years, Moana Glass by Ryan Staub is the culmination of more than half a lifetime's work toward the goal of setting up a studio and gallery where Staub can share his love of glass, involving the public through lessons and demonstrations and helping to keep alive this ancient, dying artform.

Akalei Designs is the original and largest producer of handcrafted beaded Hawaiian Lei. With over one hundred unique designs we were recently awarded “Best Beaded Lanyard” from The American Kumihimo Society (2023) for our complex braids. In addition our silk Hawaiian necklace is being showcased in a TV commercial for the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement Pop-Up Makēkē Market on an ad. And another positive compliment was three of our designs were selected in a juried art exhibit in Oahu by The Hawaiian Handweavers Hui. Aloha! We are a Pickleball & Tennis facility located in Keauhou-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are a membership-based club, but we welcome the public to come and play on our newly resurfaced courts. Our public open play schedule is listed on our website. We have 6 tennis courts, 16 pickleball courts and 2 lesson courts for both sports. We offer private lessons for tennis and pickleball with our on-site instructors, pickleball open play as well as after-school tennis programs for kids. Fire Extinguishers in any commercial or public area must be inspected annually. We can help to satisfy any State, County, OSHA and insurance requirements. We also sell fire extinguishers and provide training for fire extinguishers.

We offer an indepth farm tour of our small operation on Friday mornings, guided by the owner. We are a working farm and are not open to the public except for reserved tours.
