Solar Kauai, established and licensed in Hawaii in 1982, has installed over 8,500 residential solar water heating and power systems including large scale commercial systems such as the Kauai Civic Center, Kapaa Fire Station, Pacific Missile Range Facility, and Bellows Air Force Base. Solar Kauai was one of the first to acquire a C-60 License allowing installation of Solar Electric (PV) systems. With this C-60 License Solar Kauai was the first to operate on all the major Hawaiian Islands including Molokai, Lanai, and Niihau. Over 40 years later Solar Kauai is still a family business.
