But slowly modern civilization has overpowered the region as commercialism has taken over and push out the old yogic ways and rules. Ram Jhula is primarily old ashrams, temples and Ghat steps down to the Ganga river. Home to the famous Maharishi Mahesh Ashram known for Transcendental Meditation and that music group The Beatles Ashram.

The Kona Aloha Singers is a non-sectarian 501 (c)(3) non-profit community chorus which rehearses and performs four-part harmony (SATB) contemporary music. We sing Pop, Rock, Broadway, R & B, Hawaiian and whatever else we decide to throw in the mix. We want to sing songs our audience can recognize, sing, and dance too. The Kona Aloha Singers’ mission is to enrich our community’s cultural life through musical performances that empower artistic growth and lifelong friendships within our chorus.
