In 1978, he visited his family, who lived in the quaint village of Holualoa. He fell in love with the tropical paradise and decided to close his stables and relocate. Ted became an avid scuba diver and one can see the tropical marine life reflected in many of his jewelry designs, especially his signature Manta Ray. He has a passion for exotic plants and is a member of the local Orchid Club He was very inspired to create the Hawaii Flora Collection. Our family moved to Maui and it was a life changing experience for us.
