Makai Glass Maui is an Upcountry studio and gallery creating hand-blown glass art inspired by Hawaiʻi’s ocean, volcanoes, and wildlife. Founded by artists Justin Brown and Randy Schaffer, Makai showcases whales, dolphins, turtles, waves, jellyfish, murrini vessels, pineapples, and custom lighting pieces. Every sculpture is crafted on site in our Hāliʻimaile hot shop, where visitors can watch live glassblowing and explore a gallery filled with unique island-made art. We offer custom commissions, large statement pieces, corporate awards, and hardwood light bases that beautifully illuminate any sculpture.

The art gallery of fish printing, Gyotaku was traditionally done by fishermen in Japan to show examples of extraordinary fish they had caught. I am a Freediver and spear fisherman living here on Maui , Hawaii. I print fish I have caught using acrylic and oil pastels. I sell orients and original artwork. I am always diving, and always printing my favorite catches here at my studio.

This is a beautiful pottery studio offering classes for up to 6 people (12 years old and up.) Come learn how to make a mug or bowl on the potter’s wheel. It’s lots of fun...a great way to spend quality time with friends and family or develop your throwing skills. See our website for Kett Pottery or via "Make your own mug or Bowl on Maui", an experience offered through Airbnb. First time throwing classes are between 2-2.5 hours and cost $165 with special discounts for long time residents. Fees for firing are assessed by quantity and volume of the pieces ranging between $5-12 per item made. We also can ship your work using flat rate boxes from USPS ($32 avg) Students wanting to learn more can join one of the ongoing 6 wk classes.

Since 1979 Sam Small has been telling stories in commercials and documentaries, delivering complicated content in entertaining and engaging ways. For Sam’s last eight years in Manhattan, before moving to Maui, he was V.P. of Broadcast Production Services at Prudential Financial where his full-time job was to build and run an in-house production facility, while directing and editing all the company's national television commercials. Growing up as an A.V. geek and then getting a degree in human communication, Sam has always worked both the technical and content sides of production. Multi-hyphenated, Sam writes, shoots, edits, directs and engineers. Along the way he's done important projects for The New York Times, AT&T,Sony, Fidelity Inves

Maui Photographer Aubrey Hord specializes in Commercial photography and Portrait photography on-location and in-studio. She has a full service photography studio located in Pukalani Maui. Photography services include Family Portraits, Senior Portraits, Professional Business Headshots, Engagement Sessions, Pet Portraits and Elopements. Aubrey holds a Photographic Craftsman Degree and is a Certified Professional Photographer from the Professional Photographers of America. She also is a photography instructor at the University of Hawaii Maui College, the Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center and teaches Photo Workshops for the Professional Photographers of America.
